Abstract
Pensar en los programas de la defensoría del televidente hace que se remita a la labor
del Ombudsman (defensor del pueblo), ente encargado de escuchar las opiniones de la
ciudadanía y defender los derechos humanos de estas. Pero, ya en un ámbito como la
televisión, este es encargado de proteger los derechos de las audiencias, autorregular las
producciones del canal y contribuir en la construcción de una televisión de calidad. Por ello,
este formato es un espacio de participación ciudadana, en donde se comunican opiniones
referentes a lo que consumen y el canal realiza su respectiva respuesta o explicación a estas.
Es así como surge la necesidad de comprender como son tratadas las opiniones de las
audiencias en estos espacios, y conocer un poco más de su mecanismo de participación.
En ese sentido el trabajo se realiza con una metodología cualitativa que pretende
analizar críticamente el discurso del programa de la defensoría del televidente del canal
Caracol denominado Doble Vía, mediante el método etnometodologico y el modelo
tridimensional de Fairclough (1989) en donde se analiza el discurso de las emisiones
seleccionadas que fueron las del mes de enero de los años 2021 y 2022, esto con el fin de
constatar la estructura de dicho programa poniendo en análisis dos años con distintos
contextos sociales, hallando las dimensiones descriptiva, interpretativa y explicativa,
brindando un análisis no solo lingüístico, sino social Tras esto se comprendió la forma en que
el defensor modera las opiniones de los televidentes y las respuestas de las fuentes oficiales,
que en este caso suelen ser, académicos, productores, directores, periodistas, guionistas,
actores, entre otros. Por último se identificó, las fortalezas, debilidades, amenazas y
oportunidades del programa de Doble vía.
Hinking about the programs of the viewers' ombudsman refers to the work of the Ombudsman (ombudsman of the people), an entity in charge of listening to the opinions of the citizens and defending their human rights. But, in a field such as television, this is in charge of protecting the rights of audiences, self-regulating the channel's productions and contributing to the construction of quality television. Therefore, this format is a space for citizen participation, where opinions are communicated regarding what they consume and the channel makes its respective response or explanation to them. This is how the need arises to understand how the opinions of the audiences are treated in these spaces, and to know a little more about their participation mechanism. In this sense, the work is carried out with a qualitative methodology that aims to critically analyze the discourse of the program of the Caracol channel's viewers' ombudsman's office called Doble Vía, through the ethnomethodological method and the three-dimensional model of Fairclough (1989) where the discourse of the selected broadcasts, which were those of January 2021 and 2022, is analyzed, This in order to verify the structure of the program by analyzing two years with different social contexts, finding the descriptive, interpretative and explanatory dimensions, providing not only a linguistic analysis, but also a social analysis. After which it was understood how the advocate moderates the opinions of viewers and the responses of official sources, which in this case are usually academics, producers, directors, journalists, screenwriters, actors, among others. Finally, the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities of the Doble vía program were identified.
