Abstract
The present study was aimed to structure a state of the art from year 2015 to year 2020 of the existing documents regarding the relationship between practice time and motor development in children aged 7 to 12. It was mainly focused on identifying carried out studies in the last five years regarding the categories of analysis, types and lines of research addressed by multiple theoretical exponents, later study trends found in each of the documents were categorized and the priority of implementing a state of art was established looking for the relationship between practice time and motor development. A qualitative methodological approach was used from hermeneutic type, with a documentary research design and descriptive scope; to obtain relevant information, indexed databases were chosen such as: Scopus, Sciencedirect were chosen. Dialnet-plus, Scielo, Ebscohost-Sportdiscus and repositories of regional-local universities such as: Uniminuto. U. Pedagógica, C. Cenda, U. Incca, U. Libre, U. UDCA and U. de Cundinamarca where the physical education, recreation and sport program is offered. Finally, 63 documents were collected in English and Spanish, there the studies were investigated at the international, national and local levels corresponding to the categories of analysis in practice time and motor development for childhood. The documents found revealed research trends and similarity for age, year and country of study, documents referring to the time used for motor practice in school and extracurricular settings were analyzed, later the didactics and strategies created by physical education to strengthen the motor development from infancy.
