Abstract
La motocicleta es un vehículo utilizado en la actualidad como un medio de transporte, pero también como equipo de trabajo, especialmente para mensajeros, domiciliarios, seguridad privada. La presente investigación se realiza con el objetivo principal de identificar el papel que tiene el gerente en cuanto a la seguridad y salud en el trabajo frente a este cargo, con el fin de establecer estrategias de control que permitan reducir la accidentalidad y sobre todo, mejorar las condiciones laborales para este trabajo.
Reconociendo que la motocicleta como transporte y medio de trabajo, expone al trabajador a diferentes riesgos de tipo físico (radiación solar, ruido y vibraciones); químico (polvos, gases tóxicos, aceites); psicosocial (carga psíquica, fatiga mental, alteraciones de conducta y estrés); mecánico (caídas, accidentes de tránsito) y biomecánico (Posición permanente sentado, esfuerzos por el movimiento de cargas dinámicas y estáticas) inherentes a la actividad, que ponen en riesgo la seguridad y salud del mensajero motociclista, lo que hace necesario, establecer controles que permitan reducir o minimizar estos peligros y mejorar sus condiciones de trabajo.
La metodología utilizada para la elaboración de la presente monografía es investigativa, cualitativa, en donde se busca recopilar información, exponiendo las características y las condiciones laborales de un mensajero y el desarrollo de sus actividades durante la jornada

This research is carried out with the main objective of identifying the role of the manager in terms of occupational safety and health in the face of this position, in order to establish control strategies that allow to reduce accidents and, above all, to improve Working conditions for this job. Recognizing that the motorcycle as transport and means of work, exposes the worker to different physical risks (solar radiation, noise and vibrations); chemical (powders, toxic gases, oils); psychosocial (psychic load, mental fatigue, behavioral disturbances and stress); mechanical (falls, traffic accidents) and biomechanical (permanent sitting position, efforts by the movement of dynamic and static loads) inherent in the activity, which jeopardize the safety and health of the motorcyclist messenger, which makes it necessary to establish controls that allow to reduce or minimize these hazards and improve their working conditions. The methodology used for the preparation of this monograph is investigative, qualitative, where it is sought to collect information, exposing the characteristics and working conditions of a messenger and the development of its activities during the day.
