Abstract
The digital transformation in the healthcare sector has enabled the incorporation of technologies that promise to improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of healthcare services. This study aimed to identify and analyze the perceptions of healthcare professionals at the Emiro Quintero Cañizares Hospital (Ocaña, Norte de Santander) regarding the digital transformation processes implemented in their work environment. To this end, a quantitative, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with 189 hospital professionals. Two main instruments were used: the MinTIC (2020) digital maturity tool and a validated questionnaire on perceptions of digital transformation composed of 30 items distributed across dimensions. These data were analyzed using STATA, using descriptive statistics and categorized by tercile. The institution achieved a digital maturity level of 3 (formalized), demonstrating structured processes, with policies in place, but with some limitations in advanced automation and the integration of emerging technologies. The perception of healthcare professionals regarding digital transformation is positive, demonstrating a willingness to adopt technology and recognize its value in healthcare, although challenges persist, such as the need for ongoing training, strengthening technological infrastructure, and raising awareness of organizational changes. Therefore, it is recommended to implement change management strategies, develop digital skills, and institutional plans that promote user-centered digital transformation, based on a balance between technology and the humanization of care
