Abstract
The human being by nature has musical intelligence that allows him to identify, sensitize and evoke sound concepts that help enhance skills. It is a process that develops throughout his life. The psychologist Papalia (2009) defines these cycles or stages of development according to the age range that the individual has. In addition, the theory of Multiple Intelligences by Gardner (2001) who specifically exposes musical intelligence which allows human beings to perform musical activities which will be evident in the present research work. To fulfill the project, four stages must be implemented in order to identify the musical characteristics of the Rumba Carranguera genre. For the first stage, different historical records or investigations were investigated that spoke about the artistic and social history of the musical genre, furthermore, musical characteristics such as composition, structure, instrumentation, lyrics and musical influences that gave rise to the musical current. Afterwards, the second step was developed taking into account Gardner (2001), it is specified the characteristics and levels of musical intelligence in the cognitive development of the child from the first years of life to 10 years onwards. Through these data, it was possible to create a figure that explains six characteristics of musical intelligence development that the author highlighted; therefore, it was possible to obtain a route for the creation of the didactic sequence. For the third objective, field work was carried out, where the project was socialized with the educational community in order to collect information. In addition, the authorization for the use of images given by the parents. Next, the data collection tools were applied to identify the prior knowledge that each of the students possessed, with the results, reference points were obtained for carrying out the didactic sequence. In the structure of the didactic material, several theoretical references were taken into 10 account, such as the structure of the didactic sequence who belongs to Diaz Barriga (2013), methodologies of musical teaching by Kodaly (1993) and support in musical didactics by Pascual (2002). For the evaluation criteria, the series of curricular guidelines of the Ministry of National Education (2019) for the 4th and 5th grades of primary school were taken into account. In order to demonstrate the development of the project and its effectiveness, twelve field diaries were made where the behaviors and learning obtained by the students were recorded. The effectiveness of strengthening musical intelligence is observed in the 4th and 5th grades of the Centenario educational institution.
