| dc.description | The diversification of cinematographic production around the world makes more relevant the question for the cultural identity of the contemporary movie. Throughout last years has emerged a new U.S. critical film both as new directors as renowned ones. The production of a diverse styles and topics shares a critical attitude towards American society, not only his foremost institutions but also his life styles. This study analyses 20 films produced between 1998 and 2008 as if they were mythemes, which are particular myths that constitute a large myth, in searching explain their “conventions” from a perspective near to sociology of art by Arnold Hauser. The article reveals that the critical sense showed in this group of films is a kind of Comedie humaine about contemporary U.S. society. | en-US |
| dc.description | La diversificación de la producción cinematográfica a nivel mundial hace más relevante la pregunta por la identidad cultural del cine contemporáneo. En los últimos años ha surgido un nuevo cine crítico estadounidense tanto de directores nuevos como consagrados. Esta producción de diversos estilos y temáticas comparte una actitud de crítica frente a la sociedad estadounidense, no solo a sus principales instituciones sino también a sus formas de vida. En este estudio se analizaron 20 filmes producidos entre 1998 y el 2008 como si fueran mitemas, mitos particulares que constituyen un gran mito, buscando explicitar sus “convenciones”, desde una perspectiva cercana a la sociología del arte de Arnold Hauser. El artículo demuestra que el sentido crítico presente en este conjunto de obras constituye una suerte de Comedie humaine sobre la sociedad estadounidense contemporánea. | es-ES |
