But this has a number of pragmatic functions (communication or knowledge) that are outside of the aesthetic experience, which seems to escape or go beyond that logic merely utilitarian. Textual analysis is exploring, building a theory first and then check on the specific study of a film. In this case we chose The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (John Ford, 1962). | en-US |
| dc.description | El cine puede considerarse, en un sentido amplio del término, como un lenguaje o, mejor dicho, un hecho de lenguaje. Pero este tiene una serie de funciones pragmáticas (la comunicación o el conocimiento) que quedan fuera de la experiencia estética, la cual parece escapar o ir más allá de esa lógica meramente utilitaria. El análisis textual trata de explorarla, primero construyendo una teoría y luego verificándola en el estudio concreto de una película.
