Abstract
Bogotá is a city that offers a wide range of nightlife options due to its diversity of venues, which often prioritize consumption, particularly of alcohol and other substances. The party environment is also frequently inhabited by women who experience different perceptions, experiences, and types of violence in a territory that has been predominantly inhabited by men. This environment carries a weight of meanings around fears, precautions, and silence regarding what a woman experiences during a night of partying, which is a product of the normalization and justification of violent acts through the patriarchal discourse of Colombian culture. Additionally, the positive notion around consumption can obstruct collective recognition and responsibility, leading to the need to listen to the stories of women who inhabit the nightlife of Chicó Largo, Chapinero, Candelaria, and Modelia through their narratives in order to make their nocturnal worlds visible
