Case study of social vulnerability in students of a secondary school in Mexico from the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic brought changes in politics, economics, social and cultural aspects; In the Educative aspect reinterpreted the traditional way of learning and teaching as the interaction between teachers and students at the distance and on line which the students presented difficulties in the educative process; to size and understand the problematics which they had during the online education was carried out a data collection of different scientific magazines to recognize what happened and carried out a case study in a secondary school from Tlaltepango, San Pablo del Monte, Tlaxcala, Mexico, where it applied the survey technique with quantitative approach no probabilistic, which showed the reality that the students lived in their educative process, some the situations lived were do not have network service, lack the knowledge and digital skills, economic deficiencies in their homes. The lack the time to learn of use the TIC and others; Taking them an exclusion digital and social inequality generating vulnerability in the homes.

La pandemia de Covid-19 trajo cambios en aspectos políticos, económicos, sociales y culturales. En el aspecto educativo se reinterpretó la forma tradicional de aprender y enseñar, así como la interacción entre docentes y estudiantes a distancia y en línea, en la cual los estudiantes presentaron dificultades en su proceso educativo; para dimensionar y comprender las problemáticas que tuvieron durante la educación en línea, se llevó a cabo una recolección de información de diferentes revistas científicas para dar cuenta de lo ocurrido, y se realizó un estudio de caso en una escuela secundaria de Tlaltepango, San Pablo del Monte, Tlaxcala, México; donde se aplicó la técnica de encuesta con enfoque cuantitativo no probabilística, que mostró la realidad que vivieron los estudiantes en su proceso educativo, algunas de las situaciones vividas fueron no contar con servicio a la red, falta de conocimientos y habilidades digitales, carencias económicas en el hogar, falta de tiempo para aprender a utilizar las TIC, entre otras; llevándolos a una exclusión y desigualdad social generando vulnerabilidad en los hogares.
