Abstract
The project titled “Challenges and Solutions in Cross-Border E-commerce Logistics: A Systematic Review of Models and Current Practices” addresses the challenges faced by international e-commerce from a logistics perspective. As companies expand their operations globally, complexities arise in supply chain management due to diverse customs regulations, unequal infrastructure, and growing consumer expectations. This study analyzes centralized and decentralized logistics models, highlighting their advantages and limitations in different international contexts. The research employs a qualitative and descriptive approach, structured into three main phases: a systematic literature review to identify trends and best practices, case studies of companies operating in international e-commerce, and the synthesis of innovative solutions to optimize logistics processes. Findings emphasize the role of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving supply chain visibility and efficiency, as well as the need for sustainable practices to reduce carbon footprints. It concludes that success in cross-border e-commerce depends on the ability of companies to adapt to the technological, logistical, and regulatory demands of the global environment. This project provides both theoretical and practical frameworks that can benefit academics and industry professionals.
