Title:	Revisión documental de la caracterización actual de las empresas de Girardot

Description:	La Constitución Política de Colombia de 1991 estipula que nuestro país se constituye como un Estado Social de Derecho, fundamentado en el respeto a la dignidad humana y en donde prima el interés general sobre el particular. Esto, necesariamente, implica que la sociedad sea un actor relevante para lograr este principio fundamental. Dentro de esa sociedad, el sector empresarial es el que impacta de manera directa con la generación de empleo y la disposición de recursos para la innovación empresarial, lo cual lo convierte en un actor que fomenta el desarrollo local y regional. En la ciudad de Girardot, el sector empresarial es de gran relevancia (turismo, sector financiero, la construcción y la economía informal, principalmente) pero no obedece a las características y funcionalidades de lo que debería ser una empresa. Lo anterior expuesto, produce una informalidad empresarial, una vida empresarial corta, un impacto negativo en los índices de empleo y poco desarrollo local y regional para la ciudad de Girardot. Abstract The Political Constitution of Colombia of 1991 stipulates that our country is constituted as a rule of Law, based on respect for human dignity and where the general interest prevails over the individual. This, necessarily, implies that society is a relevant actor to achieve this fundamental principle. Within that society, the business sector is the one that directly influences the generation of employment and the provision of resources for business innovation, which makes it an actor that encourage local and regional development. In the city of Girardot, the business sector is of great importance (tourism, financial sector, construction and mainly, the informal economy) but it does not obey the characteristics and functionalities of what a company should be. The statements presented above, produce business informality, a short business life, a negative impact on employment rates and little local and regional development for the city of Girardot.
