| Description: | Political correctness (PC) was and remains prototypical of the kinds of issues that came to characterise the rapidly shifting political landscape of the 1990s. Thus, it is symptomatic of certain broader historical trends, and therefore seems useful even at this late stage. This article places the concept PC in a broader historical context before charting a path through its contradictions. Lo políticamente correcto fue fiel a aquello que caracterizó al cambiante panorama político de comienzos de los noventa, y por lo tanto, sintomático de tendencias históricas más grandes. Este artículo intenta trazar el camino que lo políticamente correcto ha recorrido a través de sus contradicciones ubicándolo en su contexto histórico. |
