Abstract
Tocaima pertenece a la cuenca del Río Bogotá, con excepción de las quebradas Grande y el Tabaco
y sus afluentes al norte en Copó, que vierten sus aguas por medio del Río Seco al río Magdalena.
El territorio municipal de Tocaima presenta gran número de fuentes hídricas superficiales menores,
las cuales son utilizadas para el suministro de agua a las comunidades rurales, abrevaderos,
recreación y por su tradición como ciudad salud en tratamientos terapéuticos, Plan de desarrollo
Futuro en Marcha. (2020)
Todas estas características hacen crecer el municipio turísticamente y a su vez la preocupación
sobre el manejo de las aguas residuales del municipio, las cuales desembocan en el rio Bogotá, y
terminan en el Rio Magdalena, lo que genera un alto contaminante en los ríos, de los cuales
también se toma el agua para consumo humano.
Desde la administración pasada se está evaluando el tema de hacer una plata de tratamiento de
aguas residuales (PTAR), ahora en esta administración uno de mis proyectos bandera es la planta
de tratamiento de aguas residuales (PTAR), proyecto aprobado por el concejo municipal, la
localización diseño quedaron aprobados por la CAR.
Tocaima belongs to the Bogotá River basin, with the exception of the Grande and Tabaco streams and their tributaries to the north in Copó, which discharge their waters through the Seco River to the Magdalena River. The municipal territory of Tocaima has a large number of minor surface water sources, which are used to supply water to rural communities, drinking troughs, recreation and due to its tradition as a health city in therapeutic treatments. Future development plan in progress. (2020) All these characteristics make the municipality grow touristically and in turn concern about the management of the municipality's wastewater, which flows into the Bogotá river, and ends up in the Magdalena River, which generates a high pollutant in the rivers, of the which water is also taken for human consumption. Since the last administration, the issue of making a wastewater treatment plant (PTAR) is being evaluated, now in this administration one of my flagship projects is the wastewater treatment plant (PTAR), a project approved by the municipal council, the design location were approved by the CAR.
