Demanda y oferta del turismo oscuro en la comunidad de Armero Tolima

Abstract

En Armero Tolima se desarrolla un turismo oscuro debido a que la historia y patrimonio, de este territorio y su comunidad giran en torno a la tragedia ocurrida en el año de 1985. Allí se ofertan todo tipo de servicios turísticos relacionados con este suceso, y la comunidad se ve beneficiada con los ingresos que obtienen de los visitantes. En el siguiente trabajo se presentan diferentes conceptos y teorías sobre el turismo oscuro desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad, proponiendo un vínculo con el turismo comunitario para que dicha actividad beneficie a las comunidades locales, y contribuya al desarrollo económico, social y medio ambiental del territorio de una manera sostenible, al mismo tiempo que se conserva la memoria del lugar. Por otra parte, se realiza una caracterización de los atractivos turísticos del municipio de Armero, y se recopila información sobre la percepción y participación de la comunidad, en las actividades turísticas realizadas dentro de su territorio. Finalmente se identifican las motivaciones y perfiles de turistas que visitan el municipio.

In Armero Tolima a dark tourism is developed, due to the history and heritage of this territory and its community revolve around the tragedy that occurred in the year 1985. There, it offers all kinds of tourist services related to this event, and the Community benefits itself from the income they receive from visitors. In this paper, different concepts and theories on dark tourism are presented from its beginnings to the present day, proposing a link with community based tourism so that this activity benefits local communities, and contributes to the economic, social and environmental development of the territory in a sustainable way, while preserving the memory of the place. On the other hand, a characterization of the tourist attractions of the municipality of Armero is carried out, and information is collected on the perception and participation of the community, in the tourist activities carried out within its territory
