    This project entitled “Network and alliances for the strengthening of teaching models aimed at the population with Intellectual Disability in training institutions allied to Best Buddies Colombia” aims to design a proposal that allows strengthening the teaching models of institutions allied to the Organization through the implementation of Networks and Alliances as a tool of Social Management. The development of the project began with a documentary review regarding the education framework for the population with Disabilities. Through semi-structured interview as an information gathering tool, the teaching models in two training institutions were analyzed in order to identify the practices currently used in the educational field, and thus, detect possible inter-institutional Networks and Alliances that allow future to strengthen the teaching models of the population with Intellectual Disability in the training institutions allied to the organization. The results showed the different approaches in the teaching models that are currently offered to the population with disabilities, generating the need to accept the proposal in the strengthening of skills and competences in the educational and work environment of the young people with intellectual disabilities. It should be noted that for Social Management it is a strategic challenge to see diversity as an opportunity to create facilitating scenarios that promote the participation of the population with Intellectual Disability, since society in general and the market do not contemplate practical performance in skills that this population has. The manager's task is focused on having the possibility of designing and implementing strategies that contribute to the development of innovative skills that promote opportunities where they apparently do not exist.
