Abstract
Within the productive and operational processes of a company, it is common to find problems that interfere with the normal development of activities. In this case, the study company presents irregularities in the packing process, which causes counterproductive effects at the end of the year. When carrying out a detailed analysis, it was possible to observe the lack of standardization of processes and a shortcoming in relation to the training that should be provided to the staff. All this being reflected in the normal development of work functions such as: On-time deliveries and the effectiveness of transport and/or distribution logistics. However, all the problems rooted in the packing process have generated the need to venture into possible solutions that put an end to the negative antecedents. The main objective of this project is to propose an improvement idea that progressively reduces the negative effects of the process. For this, an investigation was carried out with the computer systems that the company has, monitoring the management indicators and analyzing the data collected with the intention of determining the causes and the critical points that must be attacked. One of the methodologies applied was to carry out surveys of the personnel directly involved in the process, to jointly consider what could be the idea that mitigates the problem presented. With all the information collected and with the theoretical foundations studied, an improvement project was established, which through a series of activities seeks to significantly reduce returns due to packaging failures, correctly optimizing distribution logistics.
