Estudio de factibilidad en la creación de una unidad productiva de ganado de ceba semiestabulado, en el municipio de Pereira, en el año 2023

Abstract

El propósito del estudio es evaluar si es viable y rentable llevar a cabo este proyecto ganadero en el orden y tiempo propuesto. Las unidades productivas de ganado de ceba semiestabulado o semintensivo son aquellas en las que parte del tiempo los animales se alimentan en un sistema de pastoreo, mientras que en otras ocasiones se mantienen en instalaciones adecuadas en donde reciben su alimento. En este caso, se busca producir ganado de ceba, que es aquel destinado a el engorde para el mercado de la carne para consumo humano. El estudio de factibilidad implica el análisis de diversos aspectos, como la disponibilidad y calidad de la tierra para pastoreo, la infraestructura necesaria para el ganado y la cantidad de cabezas de ganado que se pueda mantener en las instalaciones, la oferta de forraje, el clima y las condiciones ambientales de la zona, la demanda de carne de ganado en el mercado local y regional, los costos de inversión y operacional, así como los beneficios posibles y ganancias esperadas. Con base en los resultados de este estudio de factibilidad, se tomará una decisión informada sobre la viabilidad del proyecto de establecer una unidad productiva de ganado de ceba semiestabulada en el municipio Pereira, considerando tanto los aspectos técnicos como socioeconómicos y ambientales involucrados en la ejecución del proyecto.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether it is feasible and profitable to carry out this livestock project in the order and time proposed. Semi-stabled or semi-intensive fattening cattle production units are those in which part of the time the animals are fed in a grazing system, while at other times they are kept in adequate facilities where they receive their feed. In this case, the aim is to produce fattening cattle, which are fattened for the meat market for human consumption. The feasibility study involves the analysis of various aspects, such as the availability and quality of grazing land, the necessary infrastructure for the cattle and the number of cattle that can be kept in the facilities, the supply of forage, the climate and environmental conditions of the area, the demand for cattle meat in the local and regional market, the investment and operational costs, as well as the possible benefits and expected profits. Based on the results of this feasibility study, an informed decision will be made on the viability of the project to establish a semi-stabled fattening cattle production unit in the municipality of Pereira, considering the technical, socioeconomic, and environmental aspects involved in the execution of the project.
