Importancia del Reporte de Accidentes e Incidentes Laborales, en Médicos Veterinarios en la Ciudad de Medellín.

Abstract

Los médicos veterinarios están expuestos a muchos riesgos que afecta su salud, en este trabajo nos enfocamos en el riesgo biológico por las enfermedades infectocontagiosas y eventos rábicos a las que los veterinarios de la ciudad de Medellín en su diario vivir están expuestos, queremos persuadir de la importancia del reporte de los accidentes e incidentes presentados en el área de trabajo de un médico veterinario para contribuir con alternativas de mejora, proponiendo herramientas educativas y así promover el buen manejo y control de estas situaciones de riesgo. Se realiza una encuesta a 30 veterinarios de la Ciudad de Medellín de diferentes Clínicas Veterinarias y a pesar de que conocen las enfermedades a las que están expuestos no cuentan con una afiliación al Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud, o una debida capacitación sobre como poder prevenirlas o de qué manera reportarlas. Por otra parte, es necesario que los dueños de dichas clínicas veterinarias sepan sobre los parámetros que se deben cumplir y gestionar en las afiliaciones, capacitaciones sobre los temas que puedan ayudar a prevenir un futuro accidente. Cabe resaltar que, al no hacer un debido reporte de los incidentes y accidentes en su labor para realizar la actualización del sistema, no solo estarán afectados los empleados, sino la compañía ya que al incumplir con la normatividad establecida podrán tener sanciones, afectado los recursos financieros de las diferentes Clínicas.
