| Description: | The aim of this paper is to reflect on the academic exercise of teaching philosophy and the educator’s role therein. The educator should teach how to philosophize, which is commonly associated with the simple exercise of asking questions. This leads to the need to consider the professor of philosophy as that person who understands that his or her teaching is a problem to be taken seriously, since it means dealing with the entire being of Man. It calls for a teacher-philosopher that experiences with his or her students the free and voluntary use of reason, made possible by wonder and a passion for life, in order to overcome the eminently rhetorical levels of asking for the sake of asking, and thus arrive at the vital concerns of the student with a real need to philosophize. Classic and contemporary authors will orient this reflection. Se pretende reflexionar sobre el ejercicio académico de la enseñanza de la filosofía y el papel que el docente tiene en ella. El docente debe posibilitar filosofar, que se asocia comúnmente con el simple ejercicio de hacer preguntas. De ahí la necesidad de considerar al docente de filosofía como aquel que comprende que su enseñanza es un problema que necesita ser tomado en serio, puesto que implica a todo el ser del Hombre. Se necesita de un docentefilósofo que viva con sus estudiantes el uso libre y voluntario de la razón, posibilitado por el asombro, por la pasión hacia la vida, para superar los niveles eminentemente retóricos de hacer la pregunta por la pregunta, y así llegar a niveles vitales del estudiante con necesidad real de filosofar. Autores clásicos y actuales guiarán esta reflexión. |
