Ante la necesidad de construir nuevos referentes culturales que nos permitan superar la amenaza que se cierne sobre la vida en el Planeta, se torna urgente revisar los mitos que nos han dado sentido para llenarlos de nuevos contenidos o, lo que es lo mismo, releerlos desde las urgencias del hoy. El Jesús histórico planteó muchas de sus propuestas en lógica contracultural, que hoy son recogidas por la estrategia de la noviolencia, entendiendo por ella una alternativa cultural que va emergiendo desde la profunda necesidad de remirarnos, reinterpretarnos y resignificarnos como humanidad.Jesús plantea alternativas al método de la violencia en el tratamiento de los conflictos y en la relación entre los opuestos, aportando a la deconstrucción de los dualismos desde la ruptura de las fronteras que separan; insinúa un mundo nuevo construido desde los más frágiles; invita a prescindir del miedo como regulador social y prefiere la regulación a través del amor, por encima de la obediencia ciega a las normas; hoy más que nunca se torna necesario deconstruir la violencia, como método de salvación, porque esta lectura ha legitimado causas y razones para matar y morir. |

Given the need to construct new cultural referents for addressing the threats to life on this planet, it is urgent to review existing myths that have been used to give it meaning, in order to fill them with new contents or – basically the same thing – to reinterpret them based on today’s urgencies. The historical Jesus based many of His proposals on countercultural logic, and today they are resurfacing within the non-violence strategy, understanding this to mean a cultural alternative emerging from the profound need to take a new look at ourselves, reinterpret ourselves and resignify ourselves as humanity.Jesus poses alternatives to violence for dealing with conflicts and in the relation between opposites, contributing to the deconstruction of dualisms based on the rupture of the borders separating them; He insinuates a new world built upon the weakest; He invites us to discard fear as a social regulator and prefers regulation through love, above blind obedience to the norms. Today more than ever it is necessary to deconstruct violence as a means to salvation because the existing take on violence has legitimized causes and reasons for killing and dying. |
