La promoción de la construcción con materiales reciclados emergió como una respuesta clave para abordar los desafíos ambientales y económicos en el sector de la construcción. Este estudio se enfocó en evaluar el potencial de integración de materiales reciclados en proyectos de construcción en Tena, Cundinamarca, Colombia, con el objetivo de mitigar los impactos ambientales, generar beneficios económicos y sociales, y mejorar la calidad de vida en la región.
El problema de investigación se centró en identificar las medidas que podían implementarse para promover la construcción con materiales reciclados en Tena, Cundinamarca. Este problema surgió ante la necesidad de abordar la alta demanda de recursos naturales y la generación de residuos asociados con la industria de la construcción, así como de promover prácticas más sostenibles que contribuyeran al desarrollo socioeconómico y ambiental de la región.
La metodología de investigación se basó en un enfoque mixto que combinó métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se llevó a cabo una revisión de literatura para recopilar información relevante sobre la viabilidad técnica, económica y ambiental de la construcción con materiales reciclados. Además, se realizaron entrevistas estructuradas con expertos en el campo de la construcción sostenible, funcionarios gubernamentales y representantes de la industria de la construcción en Tena, Cundinamarca, con el fin de obtener insights sobre las barreras y oportunidades para la integración de materiales reciclados en proyectos de construcción en la región.
Los hallazgos de este estudio proporcionaron información valiosa para el desarrollo de políticas y estrategias que promovieran prácticas de construcción más sostenibles en Tena, Cundinamarca, y contribuyeron al avance del conocimiento en el campo de la construcción sostenible a nivel local y global.
The promotion of construction with recycled materials emerged as a key response to
address environmental and economic challenges in the construction sector. This study focused on
evaluating the potential for integrating recycled materials in construction projects in Tena,
Cundinamarca, Colombia, with the objective of mitigating environmental impacts, generating
economic and social benefits, and improving the quality of life in the region.
The research problem focused on identifying the measures that could be implemented to
promote construction with recycled materials in Tena, Cundinamarca. This problem arose from
the need to address the high demand for natural resources and the generation of waste associated
with the construction industry, as well as to promote more sustainable practices that contribute to
the socioeconomic and environmental development of the region.
The research methodology was based on a mixed approach that combined qualitative and
quantitative methods. A literature review was carried out to collect relevant information on the
technical, economic and environmental feasibility of construction with recycled materials. In
addition, structured interviews were conducted with experts in the field of sustainable
construction, government officials and representatives of the construction industry in Tena,
Cundinamarca, in order to obtain insights on the barriers and opportunities for the integration of
recycled materials in projects. construction in the region.
The findings of this study provided valuable information for the development of policies
and strategies that promoted more sustainable construction practices in Tena, Cundinamarca, and
contributed to the advancement of knowledge in the field of sustainable construction at a local
and global level.
