This monograph deals with the perception of a woman who is a victim of domestic violence with
respect to the care received from the Family Police Station of Barbosa, Antioquia. The research
is a case study with a qualitative approach, in which the regulations and constitutional
jurisprudence related to the process of care for women victims were reviewed, the current state
of the family after the intervention was identified, and the victim's perception regarding the
accompaniment provided by the police station. Three categories emerged from the axial coding
and the conceptual map: the persistence of the forms of violence, the change in the perception of
the accompaniment of the Police Station and the suggestions for the improvement of the
processes, by the victim. Among the results, it was observed that the perception of the victim in
front of the police station is variable over time and is only positive when he regains custody of
his son, after having transferred it to the wrong advice from an official. However, although the
victim no longer receives physical attacks, there is persistence of psychological and economic
violence on the part of the aggressor. In line with this, there is a need to create management
mechanisms to monitor the processes, with the aim that after the closure of the cases, it can be
validated if there is a full restoration of women's rights.
