We characterized 39 nests of seven species; the nests of Tetragonisca angustula were the most abundant and the human infrastructure coverage in which nests were most reported. A didactic meliponary was built and a participatory workshop was held with the community surrounding the area, academic community and students, where knowledge was built in relation to the diversity and conservation of bees.
