Currently, approximately 85,000 social interest homes have been delivered nationwide, in
which conventional construction systems have been implemented and not systems that
include sustainability. On the other hand, in developed countries there are standardized
sustainable construction policies and systems (LEED USA), these systems in Colombia are
beginning to be used in large-scale buildings but have not been implemented in low-income
housing, which is viable and Various sustainable systems can be implemented such as:
materials, waste, energy, bioclimatic, water, etc. However, due to the lack of knowledge
and definition and interpretation of the regulations by the entities in charge, the buildings
that put them into practice are scarce, which is why this project aims to publicize
sustainable systems for affordable housing social and the importance of the prompt
implementation of this.
