Publisher: Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios- UNIMINUTO
Description: The purpose of this research project is to determine the factors that influence or impede the optimal development of the supply chain in companies with an associative character in Sabana de Occidente, Cundinamarca. The approach is participatory methodology, quantitative and qualitative. For the study, three companies were taken as sample in the municipality of Cachipay, which indicates that the sample is intentional. The instruments used are a semi-structured interview through audiovisual media, checklists and participant observations. As a result, it is noted that there is no knowledge about the concept of logistics or processes although some concepts of recycling are applied. In the same way, the concepts of reverse and green logistics, continual improvement and social responsibility are completely unknown. From the preliminary inquiries, it was concluded that an in-person support, advising productive projects, and training are highly required. In the same way, the in-person support is needed to grant financial resources from the State and academic institutions such as universities to guarantee the sustainability of companies through time.
