dc.description.abstract |

The aim of this study was to know the type of measurements that exists to assess the
emotional responses in women who have experienced violence. Through a systematic review,
using the data bases SCOPUS, Psychology Database (ProQuest), Psicodoc, ScienceDirect,
SciElo, Academic Source (Ebsco), PubMed and PsycArticles, we found 18,765 documents, 17
were selected according to the selection criteria. The analysis of the articles in this review
Sistemática showed that the instruments frequently used for measurement of emotional responses were the
fMRI, EEG, ECG and tasks of emotional recognition in faces, IAPS images and self-reports.
This review also shows that there are psychological and physiological factors that change the
emotional responses in women exposed to violence. Further investigation is needed to
understand this phenomenon integrating both physiological and psychological responses. |
