Los Imaginarios Turísticos de los Viajeros que Visitan las Ruinas de Armero Tolima

Abstract

Armero Tolima es un lugar caracterizado especialmente por su historia y atractivos turísticos que enmarcan un antes y un después de la tragedia, es ahí, en donde los imaginarios turísticos juegan un papel sumamente importante en las ruinas de Armero Tolima, debido a que estos crean deseo, hacen atractivo el lugar e interviene en la elección del lugar a visitar. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar los imaginarios de la demanda turística con el que cuenta el municipio de Armero Tolima, así como los gustos y preferencias que tienen los turistas y visitantes de lugares asociados con la muerte, desastres naturales y tragedias. Inicialmente se recolectó información y relatos sobre la historia del desastre natural ocurrido en Armero Tolima, para esto se realizó una revisión mediante libros y revistas de la época. Seguido a ello se realizó un análisis por medio de lecturas de artículos, libros y revistas de investigaciones y se consolidó la información sobre los diferentes tipos de turismo oscuro, a su vez, se recopiló información y estudios sobre los imaginarios turísticos, en donde se evidencia la postura crítica de varios autores. Por último, se realizaron una serie de encuestas a una pequeña cantidad de turistas para identificar los diferentes tipos de imaginarios que habitan en la mente de cada uno de ellos con sus respectivos resultados sobre diferentes formas de ver las ruinas de una tragedia sucedida, que marcan una diferencia en el antes y el después, en aquel lugar afectado.

Finally, a series of surveys were carried out on a small number of tourists to identify the different types of imaginaries that inhabit the minds of each of them.
