The present work emerges from a problem which covers the population worldwide, as
future engineers we intend to contribute to the conservation and sustainability of the
environment. This research is carried out with the objective of making a sustainable cobblestone
prototype made of recycled PET material, replacing traditional cobblestones, to mitigate the
damage caused to the earth's crust by exploiting the quarries to obtain the raw material. For the
elaboration of this research, the experimental methodology was used. 12 paver prototypes were
made in recycled PET and PP material, which were subjected to laboratory tests such as the
bending and compression test in order to be compared with a conventional paver also evaluated
in the same test, followed by comparison the results obtained which allow managing studies in
the future which allow reaching a suitable paver by performing a greater number of tests in order
to be able to implement it and that it has both excellent physical and mechanical characteristics
which can reduce the impact on the environment and its implementation is safe
