This research project seeks to determine the relationship between leadership and the
tendency to procrastinate in the operating processes of the Siemens-Energy transformer factory;
the approach used in the research methodology was qualitative. Being the qualitative approach,
in terms of its design, an empirical phenomenology is proposed, and its non-experimental and
transectional scope in which 40 people from the productive areas, namely: Insulation-cores,
SDT-MDT Coils, Coils LDT and/or Drying LDT and Testing field.
As an instrument for the development of the research method, surveys were applied to
collect and analyze a series of data that describe the observable behaviors of the leaders of the
productive areas, by the workers of these units. The results show that although there is no
relationship between the leadership exercised by the leaders and the tendency to procrastinate,
regardless of the leadership style evidenced or not, the tendency to procrastinate is present to a
greater or lesser degree in each of the leaders of the operational areas in the Siemens-Energy
transformer factory.
