This research project take place in Bogotá City. Specifically, in the location of Ciudad Bolívar,
where the community of the Potosí neighborhood has organized around communitarian cinema, to deal
with their problematic situations. Thus, different groups that work for the community and promote
social transformation came together from the notions of popular communication, educommunication
and construction of peace scenarios; to initially, strengthen the Ojo al Sancocho festival, which by 2021
has 14 versions and which together with the Instituto Cerros del Sur – ICES, have been managers of
different movements and other groups. And on the other hand, to build a pre-production, production
and post-production scenario of non- commercial communitarian cinema, which from decolonial and
counter-hegemonic perspectives, seeks to confront injustices from the lack of democratization of the
seventh art, to the defense of the Human and territory rights.
The present systematization aims to reflect on the confluence of these collectivities, which came
together from the diversity of their knowledge and the work they have carried out along with the
community; to give life to a project that promotes the participation of boys, girls, young people, adults
and older adults who, from intergenerational dialogues, resignify the space from the audiovisual
language and reconstruct their narratives from their own stories and voices.
