This paper analyzes the business model of Traditional Banking and Virtual
Banking, starting from the case of the Banco Caja Social and NuBank Study; Due
to technological advances, the financial sector cannot be oblivious to the
implications that an increasingly globalized economy brings with it and with the use
of information systems that are based on the application of new technologies that
expand the fields of operation of banks and take users to the comfort of their home
and at any time using the on-line system as a distribution channel. Evaluating the
current situation of traditional banking in our country in post-pandemic times and
the expectations generated by the incursion of neobanks as a financial alternative
is the basis from which our research starts to determine whether or not consumers
are prepared to take on the challenge of using a totally virtual bank or, on the
contrary, if the traditional banking model is still in force.
