This project aims to contribute to the decrease in the deterioration of the state
of health and quality of life of the family units of the Malachí village in the
Municipality of Agua de Dios. Some of the causes of this problem are related to the
poor social and economic development of the municipality, the precarious conditions
of environmental sanitation, the ignorance of waste management to transform a waste
into an input, among other variables.
Through the implementation of a Taiwan-type biodigester (Semi continuous -
It is the type of digester most used in rural areas, when it comes to small digesters for
domestic use) in the Malachí village, it is expected to contribute to the use of organic
matter, the economic, social, and environmental development of the sector, in order
to improve the quality of life of the community. The project contemplates economic
benefits since it has different uses: it produces methane gas (Biogas), unconventional
electricity and soil fertilizer (Biol); environmental benefits by reducing the felling of
trees and the bad smells of the sector, contributing to the protection of water sources,
and avoiding their contamination.
The project devises a feasibility phase for its development and implementation
in the Malachí Village, offering with it the implementation of renewable energies in
homes in the rural sector and a second phase that allows the creation of the Bioalemar
Company whose purpose is to promote biodigesters before the competent territorial entities and make it known in neighboring municipalities and closest departments,
since biodigestion technology is a sustainable alternative to solve certain problems in
the rural sector.
