(UPZ Chapinero), localidad 8 (UPZ Kennedy) y localidad 13 (UPZ Teusaquillo); obteniendo
The present work is focused on the evaluation of the relevance of an integrated network of
parking spaces trying to pay a measure of solution to the mobility of Bogota that is affected by
the increase of automobiles in the city as read in the report presented by Ostregui (2019) in the
program "Bogotá Cómo Vamos", where it is evident that in the last 5 years, in the capital of
Colombia, for every 3 inhabitants there is a motor vehicle and for every motorcycle, 4 cars. To
this must be added the fact of the low capacity installed in legally constituted parking, this
situation becomes an affectation of daily schedules due to the loss of time when arriving at
workplaces and other tasks performed by car users.
For many it is very difficult to find a parking lot available because the payment of a monthly
payment is not a guarantee of a quota forcing the owner of the car to assume new costs by having
to access other parking lots, affecting their economy. In this order of ideas, a diagnosis was made
to determine the relevance of a network of parking lots from the perception of owners and users
located in localities 2 (UPZ Chapinero), locality 8 (UPZ Kennedy) and locality 13 (UPZ
Teusaquillo); obtaining as a result that 89% of the owners consider relevant a network of parking
lots, arguing that this offers mutual benefits to its members, for their part, the remaining 11% do
not yet decide in their answer because they fear not knowing how to work with a different plan
The researchers suggest continuing the research process in the various UPZ of the localities here
selected to reach a network that faithfully serves the general population.
