This Research Project proposes to study how the connection on and off line of videoplayers (gamers) constants among young people between the ages of 14 and 28 years in the
city of Cali Valle del Cauca, affects the media consumption newsletter of the status quo
(establishment) built by the Colombian mass media.
The mass media (public and private) may be affected during the connection of the
young video players (gamers) constants, but the important thing in this case is not the drop in
rating, but the decrease in the informative coverage, which is directly proportional to the
amount of people who leave the messages drivers, which ensure the status quo
(establishment).
The problem raised in this research project lies in the fact that young people not only
remain disconnected but live long dives, abductions that extracted from the appliance sociocultural-political from an early age, period during which his apprehension alienating is
diminished. communicational
The question about this problem would be to: In what way the connection on and off
line (on and offline) of the video-players (gamers) constants among young people between the
ages of 14 and 28 years of the city of Cali Valle del Cauca, influences the media’s
consumption newsletter of the status quo (establishment) of the mass media?
The study is descriptive, that is, the manifestations of a certain phenomenon are
detailed, in this case the gamer community. The research approach is qualitative in nature that
tries to understand a social reality; However, quantitative tools are used that strengthen the
final conceptions of the research project, but the predominance of research is qualitative. The
research will be prospective, since data collection will be planned using different methods and
instruments. To objectively validate the data obtained, the inductive method will be applied
that will contrast and compare them, derived from the singularities of the application of nonparticipatory (structured) observation methods, research workshop and discussion group.
